2009 All Japan Koi Show Results
We are pleased to announce the winning results for Momotaro Koi Farm at the 2009 All Japan Koi Show in Tokyo.
An eight year old 103 cm Momotaro Sanke named “Ryujin”, won the 90 cm over Kokugyo award(Best in Size). This koi, owned by Mr. Tougo Kanayama of Tokyo, was nominated for Grand Champion. After the first 2 rounds of voting it finished first both times, but on the third ballot it was number 3 out of the 3 competitors. In the 90cm class this koi easily became best in size and also was awarded Best in Variety for Sanke. This fish still has a chance to improve and compete for the championship in 2010.
Another Momotaro Sanke owned by Mr. Tougo Kanayama won Male Mature Champion, the highest award for male koi at the show.
A 65cm Showa owned by Mr.Eisaku Kato from Chiba prefecture, won Male Adult Champion.
And finally, a Kohaku owned by Mr.Eisaku Kato won the Male 75cm Kokugyo award.
